That's all the really basic stuff that you need to get started with our CBD oil drops. Do you want to take a deep dive into the do's and do not's of CBD oils? Then read on!
What is CBD Oil?
CBD oil is one of the most popular CBD Products on the market due to it’s efficiency for absorption and ease of manufacturing and a whole host of tinctures have it has flooded the market, but is it safe to say that all CBD Oils are made the same? No it’s not...
Unfortunately with an unregulated industry such as CBD currently, there are no strict guidelines or accreditation needed to verify things. You see statements being thrown around for trustability such as ‘Lab Tested’ but even that can be used misleadingly so where do you start when trying to find a suitable product to try? Well lets start with what to look out for.
Confusing Terminology
CBD Oil Drops (or CBD Tinctures as they’re often called), come in a range of strengths and are also described using different terminology which only serves to confuse first time customers even more. We've served customers face to face from our own CBD retail outlet for over a year now, and have seen first hand how difficult it can be to wrap your head around CBD products when starting out.
One confusing point for many of our customers is the different ‘strengths’ of CBD bottles. We urge our customers to ignore the strength in terms of how effective it will be to you, but more as a cost efficiency metric. Regardless of the strength you use, you can achieve the exact same dosage; it would simply mean taking more or less of the oil to achieve your dose.
For example if you took 10mg a day:
2.5% (250mg) 10ml bottle of CBD requires roughly 8 drops
5% (500mg) 10ml bottle requires roughly 4 drops
10% (1000mg) 10ml bottle requires roughly 2 drops
-
20% (2000mg) 10ml bottle requires 1 drop
When it comes down to what strength to start with, our advice is typically to start with the highest concentration your budget will allow, this way you can take a consistent dose that will be cost effective for you to trial over an extended period of time (usually 2-6 weeks).
Percentage:
A lot of CBD oils will state a % on the front of the bottle, either alongside a MG (Milligram) count or by itself. The problem with this is it’s hard to quantify the value of the product without knowing other factors such as bottle size. Most people will take 10-25mg per dose, so it's much easier to to work out how long a bottle will last you by applying some quick and easy maths total CBD content vs the % within a bottle. After all if it states 5% in a 10ml bottle vs 5% in a 30ml bottle will result in wildly different total CBD content.
MG Count:
Most of our customers use 10-25mg twice a day. Lets round that off to an easy number and say that they consume 25mg total a day;
A 500mg bottle divided by 25 = 20 days
So a £29.99 500mg bottle like ours works out at £1.49 a day. Should the same person then buy the 1,000mg bottle next time, that would last them 20 days results in the daily cost of £1.24.
Misleading Terminology - MG Content
Still with us? We're through the looking glass now, lets dive into the really confusing stuff!
We've been retailers for a while now, selling both our own products as well as lots of others. We pride ourselves on providing peace of mind at retail by verifying the lab reports and only selling products that you can trust. Through this process, we've come across a lot of misleading info on labels. Whether it’s intentional or not is not for us to say, and this isn’t to say that brands that label things this way can’t be trusted, as with this understanding you can still utilise their products efficiently in some cases. Anyway lets get to it.
The dosages we proposed above are in mg or ‘Milligram’ what that refers to is the weight of the active compound (Or at least what it should refer to...). As a point of reference; 1,000mg = 1 gram, so if you buy a bottle of our 1,000mg CBD oil then that will have at least 1g of active CBD in the bottle. If you buy our 300mg Natures Balm that has .3g of active CBD content in it.
So lets get to the confusing part. CBD comes in three main varieties; Full Spectrum Extract, Broad Spectrum Extract and Isolate. These all come in varying strengths and cannabinoid profiles. The only way to verify exactly how much CBD is in any of these is via a lab report. You can average things if doing the same extraction processes with the same crop and strain over and over, but even then there will be variables based on the nutrients the plants had, light levels or stresses. All of this means you would still need a lab test to ascertain the actual CBD content for each batch.
As an example of a standard Full Spectrum Extract you will typically find distillate that has levels over 30-90% CBD content with additional cannabinoids bringing the overall potency to a higher level. We get these lab tested and made to fit our formulas such as the 10% in Olive Oil that we use for our 1,000mg CBD Drops. That means that there is roughly 100mg of CBD in every 1g of the extract. This is where some labels we’ve come across are misleading to the uninformed. Technically that 1g of 10% CBD extract has 100mg of CBD in it but in total is technically 1,000mg of CBD extract. What you as an end user needs to know is the actual active CBD content, not the total amount of extract in there. So for our 1,000mg tincture, we use 10g of our 10% CBD extract that equates to 1,000mg, however if we were to use the same misleading label practice we would claim that that bottle has 10,000mg of CBD! As much as this is is an exaggerated example we have seen many cases where we have had irate customers come in saying we over charge because they bought a 3,000mg tincture for £39.99 only to find out with some digging that they had actually bought a bottle 600mg active CBD in.
Another product we regularly see these issues in are CBD Pastes. We’ll see a product stating its 60% CBD in a 1ml syringe. This should mean that there are 600mg active CBD in the syringe however we regularly find that the active CBD is around 450mg and the other 150mg is from the other cannabinoids found in the plant. Don’t get us wrong, the other cannabinoids are vital for in a good full spectrum extract, however in our eyes the dosage stated should be the active CBD as claimed, with the additional cannabinoids being on top of that figure. As an example on a recent lab test done on our 10% CBD oil we found it to have 1.2% of CBG, .5% CBN and similar levels of other cannabinoids on top of the 1,000mg CBD promised in each bottle.
Perhaps we’re idiots for not doing it this way as clearly a lot of other companies are doing it and making a lot of money from it, but for us it’s about honesty and transparency. We’ve had so many interactions with people who had all but given up on CBD because they were ill advised or mislead by the label and taking minuscule dosages.
As always we are on hand to answer questions or give advice whether you buy from us or not. CBD is an incredible natural product, but with such a young emerging industry, it’s vital that we are honest, open and supportive.
Dosage
Dosage
Dosage and application amount will vary from product to product. Below we have a general guide for 10ml drops at certain strengths, however it is always worth checking each product for it's specific dosage. We are always more than happy to help guide you with any dosage questions as we understand it can be quite confusing!
250mg 10ml = 8 drops roughly
10mg
500mg 10ml = 4 drops roughly 10mg
1000mg 10ml = 2 drops roughly 10mg
1500mg 10ml = 2 drops roughly 15mg
2000mg 10ml = 1 drop roughly 10mg
3000mg 10ml = 1 drop roughly 15mg
4000mg 10ml = 1 drop roughly 20mg
How to use
How to use
Drops:
Use the dropper to apply the required number of drops directly under the tongue (see below for mg per drop) or count them out on your finger to count before placing there. Hold the oil under the tongue for at least 90 seconds to maximise absorption and swallow.
Topicals:
Topicals are any CBD products you place on your skin, whether it's a massage product, moisturiser or body butter. We always suggest testing any topical product on a small patch of skin first to ensure you have no reactions. Once happy, follow the instructions and apply to your targeted area. We suggest waiting 15-20 minutes before reapplying if you feel as though you need more to discover the right amount for your needs. Then you can use that amount as and when you need it!
Edibles:
CBD edibles will come with a dose guide, for example Infinity CBD Chocolate has a dose per square. So you can easily work out how much you're taking by counting squares. It's worth noting that when eating CBD it can take 40-80 minutes to get into your system.
CBD Vape:
Vaping CBD is a very efficient method of consuming CBD. Meaning that we advise taking it slow and steady initially. Allow a few minutes after a few pulls on your device to gauge whether you need more. You will soon know how much you need per top up and go from there. It is worth noting that if you swap from a cheaper isolate vape to a broad or full spectrum option that you may find you can decrease your dosage on the latter vs the isolate option.
Shipping
Shipping
We offer first class, second class and courier (Parcel Force). We dispatch same day before 2pm whenever possible Monday - Friday.
Even though we are out of the lockdowns and restrictions are lifting, we have still been seeing delays with deliveries from time to time. Supply chains are struggling still. We always get orders out as fast as we can, but beyond that we can't control these other factors that at times can delay a delivery.
Pro Tip
Pro Tip
Most of our customers who use the drops tend to take one in the morning, and one in the evening, timing their evening dose around an hour before bed time. Some compliment this dose with a topical in the day as and when they need it with a product such as the muscle salve, or Calm Stick roll on.
Every one is different, always remember to feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

When we launched Pembrokeshire CBD Centre back in 2018 the market was all over the place with extremely expensive yet low quality products flooding the market. We wanted to help keep those costs down without compromising on quality for our customers. So we've always offered discounts to support groups and medical patients, but we also want to help with the ongoing costs for our customers who use CBD regularly. One of the ways we've achieved that is by making all of the Infinity CBD Drops range permanently 'Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price'. Although this offer can't be used in addition to other discount codes, it will still add to your rewards points if you sign up! It's free to sign up, and you'll be given a link and a discount code. So if you recommend a product and they use your link or code to make a purchase it will result in your account being credited. Then once a month we pay you directly in real cash. Read more here: https://www.infinity-cbd.co.uk/pages/cbd-brand-ambassadors
So what we're saying is that you can not only save from your first order by signing up, but likely get a gift card for your second order, and then if you like the products and recommend them you could earn real cash too.. That's pretty good if you ask me!

Drops VS Edibles?!
Don't know which is best for you? Well everyones different so don't worry about that. We'll break down the key differences between the two below to try and help you decide:
Drops when held under the tongue are absorbed much faster and at a higher rate vs swallowing edibles directly. Edibles can take 40-80 minutes to take effect and not as much of the CBD will necessarily be absorbed.
Our customers make their choice between the two typically based on price (Drops work out cheaper typically) or on preference on flavour/ texture (Many opt for edible over drops as they don't like the hemp flavour and oily consistency). -
Is it legal?
Yes!
From day one back in 2018 we have worked closely with trading standards to ensure that we are ahead of every change in this industry. We run a tight ship, and as we also own a brand that has been added to the approved Novel Foods list by the FSA we take this very seriously!
You have complete peace of mind when shopping with us that you are buying a legal, safe and compliant CBD product.
So no to combustion
